Calgary-based MPowRx Health and Wellness Products Inc. (MPowRx) today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted United States Patent 7,533,674 entitled “Tongue Retention Device”. The awarded Patent broadly covers the MPowRx™ Snoring Solution and underscores the innovate nature of the device. This Patent complements a previously awarded US Design Patent D461,240 entitled “Tongue Retention Device”.

MBT Graduate, Jodi Donovan, receives AHFMR ForeFront Internship Award. Jodi will graduate with a Master of Biomedical Technology degree in September 2009. Anti-Snoring Study Confirms Benefit in Work Setting, Where Daytime Safety and Performance of Personnel are Critically Important. MPowRx Health and Wellness Products Inc. today announced the results of a study of its anti-snoring device involving the Peace Hills Emergency Services (EMS) Unit. EMS staff often sleep on-site during their shift, and snoring can have a serious impact on sleeping patterns, impacting daytime safety and effectiveness not only of the snorer but other staff who are awakened by the sound of snoring in the night.
